The owners of The Bird in Hand, a fried chicken restaurant in New York City, had a sense of humor. The front cover of the menu shows a court scene with chickens lined up in front of judges and lawyers and the words: "Guilty; Sentenced To Fry." On opening the menu, customers would find the pop up of a giant hand clasping a chicken. This 1930s menu is fabulously imaginative in its design and has terrific graphics.
