From the 1920s, this menu cover depicts the Puss'n Boots fairy tale about a cat who uses trickery and guile to obtain wealth, power and the hand in marriage of a princess for his penniless and low-born master. Fairy tales were common themes on menu covers in candy stores during this era. Puss'n Boots was a Seattle candy store and soda fountain that was next to the famous Pike Place Market.
